This looks fantastic! Thanks for taking it up. (Like I need something else to encourage my shopping addiction…)

Thanks very much for chapters 2&3! I’m really enjoying this series. As someone who loves to shop, it’s a lot of fun watching Kinue dealing with customers and her colleagues. Can’t wait for more interaction with Miki-sama and entourage.

Thanks for another great chapter! After reading the previous chapters, I had to go watch the drama. It was fun, but the manga is much, much better. I really love this manga — thank you for hard work and excellent translation. However, I do have to disagree with Buchou on one small point: the empire style was hot in the 1970’s so this would actually be its 5th time “en vogue” — although I might be too afraid to say it to her face ;)

Great manga - I like her. That guy with Buchou at the end was really rude to her, sadly I’ve encountered many of that type growing up in real life, they are so stuck up and hard to deal with.

Thank you for another wonderful chapter! It’s great to see Kinue evolve and I can’t wait to see the imperfections in the so perfect Tabuchi :)

Ooh! The troublemaker fangirl inside me is hoping a love triangle between her bf and Tabuchi san! :3 (I’m so bad! LOL)

Not only for the juiciness that the conflict will create, but I see that Tabuchi san is a professional through and through just like Kinue and I think she’s a person who can really appreciate that side of him.

Also, I smell a “My Fair Lady” transformation, but that might just be my fangirl side going into hyper-drive. XD

YEAH!! Another Makimura! Like someone else said above, I’d stopped coming to Wingtip cafe ever since Oishii Kankei finished, but just dropped in today, wondering, maybe… and soon as I saw the cover image I thought IT’S HER. *Thank you* for scanlating this comic. Already hooked. The bit where she takes a moment to recognise her reflection in the window; my heart skipped; it’s just like Villette.

“We moved on—I was not at all conscious whither—but at some turn we suddenly encountered another party approaching from the opposite direction. I just now see that group, as it flashed—upon me for one moment. A handsome middle-aged lady in dark velvet; a gentleman who might be her son—the best face, the finest figure, I thought, I had ever seen; a third person in a pink dress and black lace mantle.

I noted them all—the third person as well as the other two—and for the fraction of a moment believed them all strangers, thus receiving an impartial impression of their appearance. But the impression was hardly felt and not fixed, before the consciousness that I faced a great mirror, filling a compartment between two pillars, dispelled it: the party was our own party. Thus for the first, and perhaps only time in my life, I enjoyed the “giftie” of seeing myself as others see me. No need to dwell on the result. It brought a jar of discord, a pang of regret; it was not flattering, yet, after all, I ought to be thankful; it might have been worse.”

Hmm, on offensively intrusive department head and a final pic of a dress by the disgraced Guliano. Plenty to think about this chapter.

I have a feeling marriage to Tatsuya isn’t on the cards, but at the moment it’s hard to say how it’ll work out. Looking forward to the next chapters.

@Chris, nice quote from Villette!

Yuusaku-sama is full of surprises, but Tatsuya-san too. What an unexpected proposal!)
Kinue-chan go for your aim! You can do it!

omg, I just have to comment on this… I really like this series, a lot a lot a lot! I picked it up because the author’s the same as Oishii Kankei, and I loved that series. And it turned out to be a gemstone on its own.

My favourite character in this series is Yuusaku lol, there’s just something about him that’s rather intriguing~

Comment by Sora — August 24, 2011 @ 12:34 am

How the hell can Makimura Satoru be so damn good? Every time I read a new chapter, I smile, I laugh, I reflect… a mixture of pleasure, excitement, suspense. I’d just figured Oishii Kankei had to be exceptional, but this one is turning out to be a real winner, too. Is there any way you can pick up any other Makimura series? I can’t SURVIVE getting a new Real Clothes chapter only once every two weeks! I need more! :)

It doesn’t often happen that I’m open-mouthed but the scene with Yuusuke in stockings was shocking.
I prefer the manga version to the drama version.
Thanks for your hard work.

Hi Wingtip baristas!

Thank you for the release I have been craving. You always mix a premium blend here in this cafe and I’m looking forward savouring the flavour this time around.

Thanks!

Thank you for the release, high quality as always! I love this series.

(… Ohhhh, I had a thought, what if the rumor about Daimyoujin’s “fiancee” is from when he and Kinue did that shopping research?!)

Comment by Kayarc — March 24, 2012 @ 5:10 pm

Now THAT is an inspired and insightful thought! :D

Every new chapter is riveting and refreshing! And yet it holds a very gradual and natural character growth, I’m loving every chapter released! Thanks for scanlating it!

This manga is one of the only ones I check religiously, & I never would’ve been able to read it if it wasn’t for your dedication to scanlating it! Keep up the good work!
